ACT Achieving Character Together

What is ACT?

ACT (Achieving Character Together) is a character-building program at Mesa Verde that consists of a one day retreat held in the gym. Retreats are held two times per year and are open to students in all grade levels, although the first retreat of the year is only open to 7th and 8th graders. Students may only attend one retreat during their time in middle school. The purpose of ACT is to increase confidence in our students and develop a positive sense of community at Mesa Verde.  It's also a lot of FUN!  Teachers and student leaders help to guide the day's games and activities.

There is some parent input that is required prior to the retreat. Once students sign up, parents will be notified to attend a mandatory parent meeting where more information will be explained.

Students who attend the retreat in 6th or 7th grade will have the opportunity to apply to be an ACT leader. Leader applications are accepted at the beginning of each school year and there is an interview process, as there are limited spots available.  Listen to the announcements for more information.

The ACT program is a valuable experience for our students and we encourage all students to participate.  Contact Mrs. Lindroth for more information. mlindroth@mrpk.org
