School-Level Parent and Family Engagement Policy

This policy describes the means for carrying out parent and family engagement requirements pursuant to Education Code 11502 and 11504. How are parents notified of the policy in an understandable and uniform format and, to the extent practicable, provided in a language the parents can understand? How is the policy made available to the local community?

The school engages parents/guardians positively in their children’s education by helping them develop skills to use at home that support their children’s academic efforts at school and their children’s development as responsible members of society.

This policy was adopted by Mesa Verde Middle School on November 16, 2023 and will be in effect for the 2023-2024 School Year. The school will distribute the policy to all parents on, or before: December 2023
